Antique Sarouk Large Room Size Wool Blue Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional example of early 20th-century Persian weaving belongs to our curated collection of antique rugs. The deep indigo field provides a striking contrast to the complex, rust-red and terracotta palmettes that dominate the composition. This classic palette exemplifies the enduring appeal of blue color rugs in traditional interiors. The design utilizes an intricate, repeating vine and floral motif that covers the entire field, creating an impressive visual density.
Unlike medallion compositions, this piece features an allover pattern that ensures visual interest is maintained across the entire expanse of the carpet, regardless of furniture placement. The robust structure and saturated dyes confirm its status as a durable, investment-grade textile that has gracefully withstood the passage of time.
Measuring generously, this carpet is classified among our finest room size rugs, perfectly suited to anchor a formal living space or dining area. Its excellent condition, considering its age, makes it a rare find, offering both historical depth and immediate decorative impact for the discerning collector.
