Antique Seraband Persian Geometric Knotted Hallway Runner Rug, Circa Date: 1900s. This exceptional Seraband piece exemplifies the enduring quality found in antique rugs from the turn of the 20th century, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of Western Persian weaving traditions.
The field is densely populated with the iconic, repeating Mir-i-Boteh motif, rendered in a precise, all-over geometric arrangement. This micro-patterning creates a visual texture that is both complex and deeply satisfying, maintaining visual interest across the entire length of the textile.
The primary palette is dominated by a deep, saturated shade of madder, offering a sophisticated red color that provides immediate warmth and depth. Contrasting accents of midnight blue and ivory define the borders, framing the central design with elegant precision.
Presented in a narrow, elongated format, this piece is perfectly suited for high-traffic transitional spaces. Such dimensions make it an ideal choice among hallway runner rugs, lending historical gravitas and rich red color to long corridors or stair landings. Its size is 2.1ft x 16.09ft.
