A late 19th-century Persian Khorassan Moud carpet from around 1890, measuring approximately 335.4 × 457.3 cm (about 11’0″ × 15’0″). The composition pairs a deep navy field with a dusty-rose border, in the finely drawn small-scale floral vocabulary characteristic of the Moud weaving tradition.

Moud is a village in the Khorassan province of northeastern Persia (now Iran), historically known for one of the highest knot counts in Persian carpet production.

Hand-knotted wool. Authentic one-of-a-kind antique.
