An early 20th-century Persian Seraband gallery carpet from around 1900, measuring approximately 182.9 × 365.9 cm (about 6’0″ × 12’0″). The composition pairs a red field with a blue border in the long gallery-format proportion characteristic of Seraband production for European and American export markets.

Seraband (also Sarouk-Saraband) is a region in west-central Persia (now Iran) historically associated with hand-knotted wool village carpets featuring the small-scale boteh (paisley) repeat patterns that have become a defining motif of the type.
