Antique Oushak Large Room Size Wool Ivory Rug, Country of Origin: Turkey, Circa Date: 1930s. This exceptional piece exemplifies the grand scale and decorative finesse characteristic of early 20th-century Turkish rugs. Its wool pile remains soft and luxurious, offering both visual warmth and enduring quality.
The palette, dominated by the sophisticated ivory color rugs specified in the title, is beautifully offset by soft terracotta and subtle earth tones in the repeating geometric medallion pattern. This restrained use of color allows the intricate drawing of the field to command attention without overwhelming the space.
Woven to a substantial scale, this is a true room size rugs format, ideally suited for defining a large living area, dining room, or master suite. The generous dimensions and durable construction ensure it functions perfectly as a foundational element in high-design interiors.
The distinctive, large-scale motifs are hallmarks of traditional Oushak rugs, a style revered for its ability to bridge classical design with modern sensibility. As a finely preserved example, this textile represents the best of early 20th-century weaving and is a superb addition to any collection of high-quality antique rugs.
