A striking antique rose-pink and red Sultanabad, hand-knotted in wool in Persia around 1850. This one-of-a-kind piece showcases an open field medallion across a rose-pink and red palette, and measures 9’4″ x 12’4″.
Sultanabad carpets come from the Arak region of Persia and are renowned for their large-scale, allover botanical designs and warm, mellow colors that suit grand rooms beautifully.
At a true room size it will anchor a living or dining room, framing a seating group or sitting comfortably under a dining table. The soft rose tones flatter warm neutrals, brass and natural linen. Hand-knotted from durable wool, it is made to be lived with and handed down.
