A 19th-century West Persian Bijar rug from around 1880, measuring approximately 4’9″ × 7’2″ — about 144.8 × 218.4 cm. The composition is built on a red field, in the densely woven format characteristic of Bijar production.

Bijar is a town in the Kurdish region of northwestern Persia (now Iran), historically known for producing some of the most densely woven, structurally heavy wool carpets in the Persian tradition.
