A 1930s antique Persian Sarouk rug, The piece measures approximately 11’4″ × 17’9″ (per the seller listing).

The composition is a red-toned floral design — the classic, instantly recognizable Sarouk vocabulary that made these carpets one of the most reliably sold formats of formal antique Persian decorative carpet in the early-to-mid 20th century. Sarouk is a village in the Markazi province of west-central Persia (now Iran), and Sarouk-style carpets were produced both there and in surrounding Hamadan-region villages working from the same vocabulary for the European and American export market.

Hand-knotted wool. Authentic one-of-a-kind antique.
