An early 20th-century Persian Karajeh carpet from around 1930, measuring approximately 122.1 × 182.9 cm (about 4’0″ × 6’0″). The composition is a dark blue geometric field framed by a red border — a classic Karajeh palette that has remained one of the most recognizable formats among small-format antique Persian village carpets.
Karajeh is a village in the Heriz weaving district of northwestern Persia (now Iran), associated with hand-knotted wool village carpets in scatter and runner sizes.
