A one-of-a-kind antique Caucasian Kuba rugKuba rugs come from the historic weaving district around the city of Quba in northeastern Azerbaijan, in the southern Caucasus region. Antique Kubas are recognized for their dense geometric compositions, tightly drawn borders, and a tradition of design vocabularies — Chichi, Konagkend, Perepedil, Seichour — that collectors and dealers have studied for over a century.

The Caucasus is one of the great regions of tribal hand-knotted rug production, and antique Caucasian rugs from the late 19th century have remained among the most actively collected and decoratively used antique rugs on the Western market since the 1920s. This particular piece is a unique antique example, offered as-is.
