An early 20th-century Caucasian Karabagh carpet woven around 1900, measuring approximately 91.5 × 183.0 cm (about 3’4″ × 6’3″). The composition is a brown-ground tribal geometric design framed by an ivory border — a warmer, earthier color register than the lighter pale-blue Karabaghs of the same period, and one that sits naturally in rooms with leather, dark woods, and natural-fiber textiles.

Karabagh is a historic Caucasian weaving region; rugs from this tradition were typically hand-knotted in wool by village and tribal weavers and are recognized today as one of the most collected formats of antique Caucasian carpet.

Hand-knotted wool. Authentic one-of-a-kind antique.
