The field is dominated by a rich, saturated teal, placing it firmly within the desirable category of blue color rugs. This vibrant ground provides a stunning contrast to the deep black oval that frames the medallion area. The high-contrast hues and the deliberate use of negative space are hallmarks of early 20th-century design innovation, ensuring this rug serves as a powerful focal point.
A dense, stylized wreath of blossoms encircles the central field, showcasing soft pinks, peaches, and subtle purples. This captivating use of floral rugs patterns is rendered with a painterly effect, emphasizing volume and texture. The unusual, oval shape at both ends, finished with delicate fringe, adds a unique architectural dimension suitable for a hallway or bedside placement.
Expertly hand-knotted in durable wool, this oval rug maintains excellent pile density commensurate with its age. Measuring to the size of Small Scatter Size Rugs (2.08ft x 4.06ft), its scale makes it ideal for enhancing intimate spaces, such as entryways or bathrooms, qualifying it as one of the finest small scatter size rugs available. It is a sophisticated accent piece that brings historical depth and color saturation to any contemporary interior.
