This decorative light ivory antique oversized Turkish Borlou medallion Oushak carpet is a timeless example of historic antique Turkish rugs, combining serene color, expressive design, and generous scale to create a piece that both grounds and elevates interior spaces. Woven in the celebrated Oushak tradition, this oversized carpet features a refined light ivory field that allows its distinctive medallion and decorative motifs to take center stage with quiet elegance.
At the heart of the composition lies a Borlou medallion, rendered with graceful proportions and rhythmic patterning that reflect the storied design language of Turkish Oushak carpets. Around the central motif, stylized floral and geometric elements unfold with balanced spacing and visual harmony, creating a field that feels open yet richly articulated.
Complementary border bands frame the central design with structural clarity and nuanced contrast, reinforcing the rug’s overall coherence without detracting from its serene palette. Hand-knotted in high-quality wool, this antique Turkish Borlou rug offers both tactile warmth and enduring performance, making it well suited for primary living areas, formal rooms, or expansive seating zones where both pattern and proportion matter.
Perfect for living rooms, great rooms, dining rooms, or entry foyers, this oversized Oushak carpet brings timeless artistry, subtle sophistication, and architectural scale to your home. Its light ivory background and beautifully balanced medallion design make it a versatile foundation piece that pairs gracefully with a wide range of décor styles — from classic and transitional to modern and eclectic.
