A monumental late 19th-century Persian Tabriz carpet from around 1890, measuring approximately 548.7 × 731.7 cm (about 18’0″ × 24’0″). The composition is built on an ivory field — a brighter, more luminous color register than the deeper-red and indigo Tabriz carpets more commonly seen on the market at this scale.

Tabriz is a major city in northwestern Persia (now Iran) and one of the historically most important centers of high-quality formal Persian carpet weaving, with a continuous workshop tradition stretching back to the Safavid period. Tabriz carpets at this scale and with this clarity of ground color are particularly suited to grand-format rooms — formal dining, hotel reception, and the largest residential salon spaces.

Authentic one-of-a-kind antique.
