A late 19th-century Eastern European Bessarabian rug from around 1890, The piece measures approximately 4’7″ × 6’7″ (per the seller listing).

The composition combines yellow, blue, and pink across a flat-woven field — a colorful folk-textile palette characteristic of the Bessarabian flat-weave tradition. Bessarabia is the historical name for a region between the Prut and Dniester rivers, today divided between Moldova and Ukraine; carpets from this tradition combine Ottoman, Russian, and European decorative vocabularies.
