An early 20th-century Donegal Arts & Crafts carpet from around 1930, measuring approximately 122.1 × 335.5 cm (about 4’0″ × 11’0″). The composition is an ivory-ground floral design framed by a yellow border, in the restrained vegetable-dye palette characteristic of Donegal carpet production in the British and Irish Arts & Crafts tradition.
Donegal carpets were produced from the late 19th century in County Donegal, Ireland, by Alexander Morton & Co. and successor firms working from designs by leading Arts & Crafts figures including C. F. A. Voysey and Gavin Morton.
