Vintage Chinese Room Size Wool Green Rug, Circa Date: Contemporary. This elegant piece offers substantial coverage, defining large living areas or formal dining spaces. The designation as a room size rugs ensures it serves as a foundational element in grand interiors, providing both warmth and visual structure.
Woven from high-quality wool, the pile exhibits a subtle sheen that enhances the complexity of the color palette. The field is dominated by a sophisticated, earthy shade of green, offering a tranquil anchor point. This specific hue places it among our most desirable green color rugs, suitable for pairing with both traditional mahogany and modern light woods.
The design employs a dense, repeating trellis motif across the field, creating a textural depth rather than a central focal point. This continuous, small-scale design is characteristic of allover rugs, providing visual movement without overwhelming the surrounding décor. The pattern is subtle, allowing the rich texture of the wool to remain paramount.
A highly disciplined border frames the piece, featuring repeating square medallions rendered in deep terracotta, navy, and cream. While the construction is contemporary, the refined aesthetic and muted palette align perfectly with the curated selection of vintage area rugs we present, offering timeless style for the modern collector.
