A late 19th-century antique North-West Persian Bakhshaiesh carpet from the 1880s, The piece measures approximately 10’8″ × 16’10” (per the seller listing).

The composition is built on a blue and red color register, in the bold, slightly informal vocabulary characteristic of Bakhshaiesh production. Bakhshaiesh is a village in the Heriz region of northwestern Persia (now Iran), historically associated with hand-knotted village carpets that combine the geometric clarity of the broader Heriz/Serapi tradition with a slightly looser, more individual hand.

Hand-knotted wool. Authentic one-of-a-kind antique.
