An early 20th-century Turkish Oushak carpet from around 1900, measuring approximately 518.3 × 548.6 cm (about 17’0″ × 18’0″) — a monumental near-square format suited to grand formal rooms, ballrooms, hotel reception spaces, and the largest residential salons.
The composition pairs a peach-toned field with a celadon-green border, a softly luminous palette characteristic of the most decorative Oushak production of the early 20th century.
Oushak takes its name from the town of Uşak in western Turkey, a center of Anatolian carpet weaving since the 15th century. Hand-knotted wool. Authentic one-of-a-kind antique.
