A one-of-a-kind 19th-century Persian Khorassan Moud carpet,
Moud is a village in the Khorassan province of northeastern Persia (now Iran), historically known for one of the highest knot counts in Persian carpet production. Moud carpets are typically built around small-scale repeating floral and herati vocabularies, executed at very high knot densities on cotton foundations — characteristics that have made them particularly favored among collectors of formal antique Persian decorative carpets.
