The Qashqai are one of the major tribal confederations of southern Persia, historically inhabiting the Fars province around Shiraz. Qashqai weavers produced some of the most distinctive tribal hand-knotted wool carpets of the Persian tradition, with bold geometric medallions, animal motifs, and saturated natural-dye color palettes that have made antique Qashqais perennial favorites among collectors of tribal Persian carpets.
