Serab (also Sarab) is a historic weaving region in northwestern Persia (now Iran), well known for camel-toned, often solid-field runners produced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The hand-spun camel-and-wool yarn foundation gives Serab runners their soft, characteristic surface texture.
