A monumental early 20th-century Indian Agra gallery carpet from around 1900, measuring approximately 381.0 × 838.2 cm (about 12’6″ × 27’6″). The composition is built on a beige field with a camel-toned border and a large-scale geometric design — at this scale, suited to formal long living rooms, hotel reception floors, and the largest residential rooms.
Agra, in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, has been a center of high-quality hand-knotted carpet production since the Mughal period.
