A 1920s Chinese Peking carpet measuring approximately 226.1 × 302.3 cm (about 7’5″ × 9’11”). The composition is built on a beige field with a vase-medallion design — a traditional Chinese decorative motif characteristic of Peking workshop production of the period.
Peking-style rugs were produced in workshops across northern China for both domestic and Western export markets.
