Antique American Coral 1920s Square Quilt: a quilt made in the United States, 74 x 74 inches (6’2″ x 6’2″). It is pieced from fabric and quilted through to a backing, not knotted or woven like a rug. Quilts like this were made as bed coverings; today they are hung as textile art or used as a throw or bed topper. Because it is a textile, we do not recommend it for use on the floor.
The square quilt’s defining characteristic is its unique quilt style, featuring subtle, stitched diamond patterns that create a tactile, dimensional surface.
The quilted texture inherently forms an allover geometric pattern, providing visual interest without relying on dense, complex iconography. This simplicity allows the texture and the material’s inherent quality to take precedence.
Condition: Good.
