Antique Art Deco Room Size Wool Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional room size piece captures the transitional design sensibilities of the early 20th century, merging traditional Eastern motifs with the bold, open compositions favored by the Art Deco movement.
The striking presence of the expansive field defines the rug’s dramatic character. The use of a rich, saturated color provides a sophisticated frame for the sparse, elegant detailing within.
Delicately rendered vines, blossoms, and stylized vases drift across the field and border, executed in soft secondary tones of coral / bronze. The craftsmanship and unique design of this piece make it a significant example among antique rugs from the Art Deco era.
The overall effect is one of refined minimalism, allowing the texture and rich field color to dominate while the subtle ornamentation adds visual interest. This piece is perfectly suited to anchor a living space requiring both historical depth and modern clarity.
Condition: Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Overall Good Condition.
