A monumental early 20th-century Indian Lahore carpet from around 1930, measuring approximately 365.9 × 731.5 cm (about 12’0″ × 24’0″). The composition is a camel-toned floral design with ivory and tan border accents — a long gallery-format proportion suited to formal hallways, large dining rooms, and the longest residential spaces.
Lahore (today in Pakistan) was a major center of Mughal-tradition carpet weaving from the 16th century onward, and in the late 19th and early 20th centuries it remained one of the most important hand-knotted carpet production centers in the broader Indian subcontinent.
