A striking antique multicolor jewel-tone Peking, hand-knotted in wool in China around 1920. This one-of-a-kind piece showcases an allover composition across a multicolor jewel-tone palette, and measures 9’1″ x 11’3″.

Antique Chinese Peking carpets were hand-woven in northern China in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They are loved for their open, uncluttered fields, soft sculpted wool pile, and motifs drawn from Chinese symbolism – medallions, florals, birds and auspicious emblems.

At a true room size it will anchor a living or dining room, framing a seating group or sitting comfortably under a dining table. Its multicolor palette gives you freedom to pull accent colors throughout the room. Hand-knotted from durable wool, it is made to be lived with and handed down.
