Purple Antique Small Scatter Size Rug. This exquisite example of an antique rug is defined by its deep, saturated purple field, offering a luxurious and evocative color palette rarely seen in floor coverings of this era. The plush pile enhances the richness of the hue and the softness of the wool. The central field is sparsely decorated, allowing the vibrant ground color to dominate. The corners feature highly stylized floral motifs and aquatic plants, rendered with a sophisticated use of carving that provides textural depth and contouring to the composition. Measuring in the ideal range for small scatter size rugs, this piece provides exceptional versatility. It is perfectly suited for placement beside a bed, anchoring a reading nook, or adding a concentrated burst of color to a hallway entrance.
