Antique Oushak Turkish Allover Geometric Knotted Rug, Circa Date: 1925. This magnificent Turkish Oushak exemplifies the grandeur and refined scale characteristic of early 20th-century weaving. The design employs a striking allover geometric lattice, moving away from traditional medallion formats while maintaining classical Ottoman motifs. This piece is a superb example of antique rugs from Anatolia. The palette is exceptionally subtle and sophisticated, featuring a soft, muted field that shifts between taupe and pale sage, contrasted by the detailed geometric elements rendered in soft ivory and pale gold. The masterful use of abrash gives the surface a shimmering, variegated quality. The central field color positions this piece perfectly within current design trends favoring gray color rugs.
