Big Size Blue Color Antique Tribal Persian Bidjar 1920s Rug

$19,624.00

Antique Bidjar Iran Blue 1920s Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional example showcases the robust construction and saturated dyes characteristic of the Persian Bidjar rug weaving tradition. Woven in the 1920s, this piece exhibits a powerful contrast between the deep indigo field and the warm, rust-red spandrels and border, achieving a visual depth rarely seen in later productions. The central composition is defined by a bold, angular lozenge medallion, densely filled with intricate boteh and stylized floral elements. This highly organized, geometric design is typical of Kurdish influence, emphasizing structure and permanence over fluid movement across the field. The detailed inner borders frame the central motif with precision, demonstrating the high technical skill of the weaver.
