Antique American Blue Square Quilt: a quilt made in the United States, 76 x 87 inches (6'4" x 7'3"). It is pieced from fabric and quilted through to a backing, not knotted or woven like a rug. Quilts like this were made as bed coverings; today they are hung as textile art or used as a throw or bed topper. Because it is a textile, we do not recommend it for use on the floor. This unique textile piece, dating from the early 20th century, presents a striking monochromatic study in texture within its elegant square format. The deeply saturated indigo hue dominates the field, offering a powerful foundation for any sophisticated interior. This vibrant shade of blue color textiles is particularly effective in highlighting the intricate surface detail.
