Antique Peking Oval Room Size Wool Mocha Rug, Circa Date: 1900s. This exceptional Chinese Peking carpet presents a rare, elongated oval format, immediately distinguishing it from standard rectangular weaves. Its generous dimensions classify it as a true room size rug, offering a refined foundation for any grand interior space. The field is rendered in a complex, shifting palette of mocha and taupe, creating a soft, cloud-band pattern that appears almost sculpted. This masterful use of earth tones results in a highly versatile piece. The overall coloration is a perfect example of brown earth tone color rugs, providing warmth without visual clutter. A striking contrast is achieved through the inner border, where vibrant accents of cerulean blue and sun-drenched orange lotus blossoms emerge from the subtle ground.
