Antique American Geometric Folk Art Square Quilt: a quilt made in the United States, 79 x 82 inches (6'7" x 6'10"). It is pieced from fabric and quilted through to a backing, not knotted or woven like a rug. Quilts like this were made as bed coverings; today they are hung as textile art or used as a throw or bed topper. Because it is a textile, we do not recommend it for use on the floor. The design is a masterful adaptation of the traditional American folk art aesthetic, specifically drawing inspiration from the patchwork technique. This rare quilt style Square quilt features a dynamic, concentric diamond motif that radiates outward from the center. The palette is rich and saturated, utilizing bold primary colors and deep secondary hues, creating a striking composition of multicolor jewel tones.
