Antique Baluch Geometric Knotted Rug, Circa Date: 1900s. This exceptional Square piece exemplifies the nomadic weaving traditions of the Baluch tribes, known for their dense knotting and deep, saturated color palettes. Dating to the early 20th century, this textile is a superb example of antique rugs that retain their original tribal character and integrity. The field is dominated by a rich, inky indigo, providing a dramatic backdrop for the repeating, highly stylized medallions. These motifs, rendered in earthy tones of rust, madder red, and deep brown, are typical of the region's natural dye usage. The profound depth of the central blue color rugs ensures this Square rug anchors any space with sophisticated gravity. Structurally, the rug features a tight, durable weave, reflecting the practical needs of a nomadic people.
