Antique Kula Small Square Scatter Size Wool Brown Rug, Circa Date: 1880s. This exceptional Caucasian piece, originating from the Kula region, showcases the powerful geometric tradition of 19th-century weaving. Its compact Square dimensions make it an ideal small scatter size accent for a hallway or intimate study, offering a concentrated display of tribal artistry. The palette is grounded by a deep, oxidized field, creating a sophisticated foundation of brown earth tone. This rich hue is dramatically contrasted by vibrant indigo blue in the borders and highlights of madder red and saffron yellow within the intricate medallions. The use of natural dyes and high-quality wool ensures a depth of color that has matured beautifully over more than a century on this Square textile.
