Antique Malayer Persian Red 1920s Rug, Country of Origin: Iran Persia, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional piece exemplifies the enduring artistry found in Iranian Persian rugs from the early 20th century. Its robust construction and richly saturated dyes confirm its status among desirable antique rugs, offering both historical value and immediate decorative impact. The captivating field color is a deep, burnished red—a hue that brings immediate warmth and character to any space. This specific shade is highly sought after, distinguishing it within the category of red rugs and providing a vibrant contrast to the stark indigo and cream geometric motifs woven throughout the design. Woven in the long, narrow format characteristic of village production, this piece functions perfectly as a hallway runner rug.
