Antique Oushak Turkish Ivory 1920s Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional Turkish weaving represents the enduring appeal of the Oushak tradition, favored globally for its grand scale and soft coloration. As a superb example of early 20th-century weaving, it stands among our finest antique rugs available today. The expansive field is rendered in a sublime, aged ivory color, which provides a luminous neutrality essential for sophisticated interiors. This light ground is beautifully contrasted by the stylized motifs executed in tones of soft taupe, pale slate blue, and warm camel brown, creating a highly versatile and restrained palette. Typical of the period's revival style, the design features an open field anchored by a central, highly stylized medallion and complementary corner spandrels.
