Jewel Tone Antique Tribal Persian Harshang Design Room Size Bidjar Rug

Antique Bijar Persian Blue 1900s Rug, Circa Date: 1900s. This exceptional Persian Bijar exemplifies the "Iron Rugs of Persia" tradition, renowned for their robust construction and dense pile. Dating from the early 20th century, this piece is a magnificent example of antique rugs that define the regional weaving aesthetic of Western Persia. The commanding field is rendered in a saturated indigo, providing a dramatic backdrop for the riotous palette of secondary colors, including vibrant coral, soft sky blue, and moss green. The masterful use of deep indigo establishes this as a premier example within our collection of blue color rugs, offering a depth of tone that has matured beautifully over more than a century. Unlike centralized medallion designs, this Bijar features a highly detailed, repeating geometric and stylized floral pattern that functions as an allover design.
