Antique Oushak Room Size Wool Green Rug, Circa Date: 1880s. This exceptional example of late 19th-century Anatolian weaving showcases the refined artistry characteristic of high-quality antique rugs. Its generous proportions and masterful design make it a commanding centerpiece. The expansive field is dominated by a stunning, saturated shade of moss green, achieved through natural, vegetal dyes. This particular tone of green color rugs offers a sophisticated neutrality that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors, providing a calming foundation for any space. Contrasting beautifully with the deep field is the wide, ivory border, framed by serrated guard bands in saffron and gold. The border design features stylized, oversized palmettes interspersed with delicate flowering vines, maintaining the grand, yet softened aesthetic for which Oushaks are prized.
