Green Background Room Size Antique Classic Chinese Deco Rug

Antique Chinese - Art Deco Knotted Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional piece captures the transitional period of early 20th-century Chinese weaving, blending traditional imperial motifs with the bold, simplified aesthetic of the Art Deco movement. Its highly decorative nature makes it a prime example among fine antique rugs. The field is dominated by a rich, mossy tone, providing a sophisticated backdrop for the intricate botanical imagery. The use of this saturated green color rugs palette is characteristic of the period, juxtaposed dramatically against the vibrant, almost shocking pink-red border. This striking color contrast creates visual depth and modern appeal, typical of the era's departure from classical restraint. A central vase, overflowing with trailing vines, grapes, and large blossoms, anchors the composition.
