Antique Kerman - Lavar Persian Blue 1930s Rug, Country of Origin: Iran / Persia, Circa Date: 1930s. This magnificent example of a finely woven carpet hails from the renowned workshops of Kerman, a center famous for producing some of the most intricate Iranian / Persian rugs of the 20th century. The Lavar designation refers to the specific, highly detailed style of weaving often associated with the region's master artisans. The field is dominated by a rich, saturated indigo ground, providing a dramatic contrast to the meticulously rendered boteh and vase motifs executed in soft camel and ivory tones. This deep hue places it among the most desirable blue color rugs available today. The complex, repeating pattern is characteristic of the finest Kerman rugs, showcasing an exceptional level of technical skill and artistic vision.
