Antique Naeen Small Scatter Size Wool Blue Rug, Circa Date: 1940s. This exquisite Persian Naeen piece, woven during the mid-20th century, presents a highly detailed garden scene on a rich, saturated navy field. Its small scatter size makes it an ideal accent piece for an entryway or positioned beneath a piece of fine furniture. The central field eschews a traditional medallion in favor of a magnificent, stylized Tree of Life emerging from a vase, a classic motif symbolizing eternal paradise. The field is densely populated with stylized foliage, birds, and various fauna, showcasing the weaver's masterful ability to render complex natural forms. This piece aligns with the tradition of fine floral rugs that prioritize intricate narrative over strict geometric abstraction.
