Antique Kashan Room Size Wool Ivory Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This magnificent Persian textile exemplifies the finest weaving traditions of the early 20th century. Its construction, featuring a tightly knotted wool pile and saturated natural dyes, marks it as a superior example among antique rugs of the period. The luxurious wool provides a perfect canvas for the intricate design. The field utilizes a striking ivory color ground, allowing the complex palette of terracotta, indigo, and rose to flourish without visual weight. This dense, continuous composition features detailed palmettes and vine scrolls, typical of the finest Kashan production. Woven to a substantial scale, this piece is classified as a room size textile, making it an ideal anchor for a formal living space or grand dining area.
