Antique Tabriz Oversized Room Size Wool Blue Rug, Country of Origin: Iran / Persia, Circa Date: 1930s. This exceptional piece exemplifies the finest weaving traditions associated with Tabriz rugs. Originating from the skilled workshops of Iranian / Persian rugs, this carpet captures the intricate, highly detailed patterning characteristic of the region during the early 20th century. The dense, repeating field pattern utilizes a sophisticated palette centered on deep indigo and slate, establishing it firmly within the category of blue color rugs. Secondary hues of rust, olive, and soft gold are meticulously incorporated, lending depth and complexity to the all-over design. The finely spun wool pile retains a beautiful, subtle sheen that speaks directly to its quality and age.
