Antique Oushak Room Size Wool Yellow Rug, Circa Date: 1890s. This magnificent example of late 19th-century Anatolian weaving features the characteristic grand scale and open field design for which Oushak production is renowned. Its soft, sun-mellowed yellow palette makes it a superb addition to any collection of antique rugs. Woven entirely from high-quality wool, the rug's field presents a luminous, aged yellow hue, beautifully softened by over a century of gentle wear. The yellow rugs description refers to the aged wool base, which now provides a subtle yellow foundation for the stylized yellow floral elements defining the wide main border. The composition employs large, stylized palmettes and cloud bands, typical of the decorative revival period favored by European interior designers of the era.
