Antique Malayer Wool Brown Rug, Country of Origin: Iran / Persia, Circa Date: 1940s. This exquisite piece originates from the weaving traditions of Iranian / Persian workshops, specifically the Malayer region, known for its durable, finely knotted textiles. The 1940s vintage ensures a rich patina and exceptional wool quality, characteristic of mid-century production. The deep, saturated field employs a sophisticated brown earth tone palette, providing a grounding anchor for any interior space. This dark ground is beautifully contrasted by secondary hues of soft apricot, pale gold, and subtle indigo accents, which appear within the intricate floral and geometric lattice work. The natural dyes have mellowed over time, creating a harmonious and aged aesthetic.
