Breathtaking Light Sky Blue Color Antique Paisley Pattern Persian Bakhtiari Rug

Antique Bakhtiari Room Size Wool Blue Rug, Circa Date: 1930s. This magnificent example of Persian weaving showcases the robust craftsmanship for which Bakhtiari pieces are renowned. Its age places it firmly among desirable antique rugs, offering both historical depth and enduring aesthetic appeal. The central field is dominated by a striking, faded cerulean ground, characteristic of high-quality vegetable dyes. This rich background provides a perfect counterpoint to the repeating boteh (paisley) motifs rendered in soft ivory and deep terracotta. It is a superb piece for collectors seeking refined blue color rugs. The intricate design employs a dense, repeating lattice structure that organizes the boteh into a harmonious, continuous flow. This masterful execution creates a mesmerizing visual texture across the entire surface, defining it as one of the finest allover rugs of its period.
