Antique Kurdish Persian Blue 1930s Hallway Runner Rug, Circa Date: 1930s. This exceptional piece represents the robust weaving tradition of the Kurdish regions of Persia, characterized by its deep saturation and enduring tribal motifs. It is a superb example of antique rugs that retain their original integrity and powerful aesthetic. The field is dominated by a profound, inky indigo, placing it among the most desirable blue color rugs for collectors seeking depth and historical resonance. The central design utilizes a repeating, interlocking hexagonal pattern, densely packed across the entire surface, creating a mesmerizing visual rhythm that speaks to the weaver's meticulous hand. The elongated, narrow format of this textile confirms its original purpose as a functional piece designed for transitional spaces.
