Blue Antique Tribal Geometric Allover Design Persian Serapi Heriz Room Size Rug

Antique Heriz Persian Geometric Knotted Rug, Circa Date: 1930s. This exceptional Persian weaving exemplifies the robust, highly geometric style characteristic of the Heriz region. The design centers on a strong, angular medallion structure, softened by intricate botanical elements that fill the deep field. This piece is a classic example of fine antique rugs from the early 20th century. The masterful use of color defines this textile's powerful presence. The central field is dominated by a saturated, almost midnight indigo, providing a dramatic backdrop for the stylized palmettes and serrated leaves. This deep, rich shade is a signature element often found in blue color rugs originating from Northwest Persia, offering unparalleled depth and visual weight. A wide, striking border in warm brick red frames the composition, featuring bold, angular cartouches and repeating floral rosettes.
